"I am looking forward to attending this year's POWER-GEN conference on renewable energy. It is critical that we reduce our dependence on foreign sources of oil. Greater independence can only be achieved through the development of our renewable resources."

-- Jim Gibbons, Governor of Nevada

Has anybody assessed whether there is enough land to supply the automobile and trucking fleets with biofuels?

Hema,

You can get a list of future events -- including conferences -- by going to the Events section of this site. You can have them sorted by either type or date. Additionally, the News Letter features coming events if you are subscribed to that.

Just a comment.

The success of Nevada Solar One is just "a tip of a solarberg".

Coming "solarbergs" (pending NOI's and AFC's in 2008) are:
DT Solar, a Ted Turner Renewable Energy Company;
Ecosystem Solar Electric Corp. 165-330MWe solar/thermal;
and Harper Lake LLC 100MWe solar/thermal, termed as the jewels in the vastness of the Southern Californian desert, founded for the equal benefit and protection of the earth's ecosystem and the human race.

There's No Debate

Two hundred years from today,
New power stands in bright array,
Oil and coal will be depleted,
Fossil fuel supplies unseated,
Wind, waves, solar, geo stuff,
Will prove that they are really tough,
Here with us now, increasing then,
A means for us to use and send,
The power needed for our uses,
No more atmosphere abuses,
Two centuries are long to wait,
But time does pass, there's no debate.
