"Outdoor stadiums are a natural fit for solar power with the unobstructed, open roofs and natural light. People out in the open air appreciate it, and other cities should follow suit. They should consider using solar power in their stadiums or on any new [municipal] construction project."

As of 4 days ago and according to a local SF news station "Kron 4" PG&E is trying to raise Bay Area electricity rates to pay for this project and keep the kwh produced. Correct me if I'm wrong but the city of SF will NOT get credited with the electricity produced. The way the news explained it, "PG&E is trying to get us to pay for the PV by raising our rates and then charge us for the electricity that it produces"
Sly! Obviously, this gives me mixed fealings about this project. I didn't like PG&E before reading this article either!

This level of support for solar is amazing!

The tax payers are subsidies the equipment and then 2.5 times the going rate for the electrical power generated. PRESTO!! We get lots of over priced solar plants.

Only a fool pays $2 for $1 of power.

In Califoria, we pay $3.4 for $1 worth of power.

Remember All we have to do is eliminate all carbon production for engery plants and automobiles in the USA to achieve a 14/100ths degree change over a 100 year period.
