Focus is on how ocean wave, biomass and biofuels are making renewable energy for the state.
Salem, Oregon [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Industry and energy experts and the public are invited to attend a public forum on renewable energy April 2, 2007, hosted by Congresswoman Darlene Hooley (OR-5) at Portland State University. The public to the forum will offer attendees a chance to learn about what Oregon is doing to produce new sources of energy and what it will take for the state to become the model for the rest of the nation. Hooley serves on the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality, which has had eleven hearings on global climate change since February. She also serves on the House Science Subcommittee on Research that is also exploring this topic. RSVP to Andrea Salinas (andrea.salinas@mail.house.gov).
