"It is estimated that at least 700 megawatts of storage may be required across Ireland. This sale will provide us with a "blue-print" to execute on similar opportunities in Ireland and worldwide."

Irish Energy Storage

Irish eyes are shining,
For they know that windy power,
Will be stored and safely hidden,
To be used in later hour,
Yes Irish eyes are shining,
For they know the world will see,
That wind energy production,
Will have stored ability.

Scaleable energy storage for windpower is potentially revolutionary. If the storage target for Ireland is 700 MW, you have to wonder what the potential is for the UK - my guess, 5000 MW. But we have as yet no cost for this technology at this scale. Readers might want to view my blogposts on www.altenergyinvestor.org - of March 5th and March 28th which discuss this technology in more detail.
