IREC Remembers Dr. Shimon Awerbuch, Energy Economist

Boston, Massachusetts [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) informs us of the untimely death of Dr. Shimon Awerbuch, who, Jane Weissman, Executive Director of IREC, describes as "way ahead of his time." Shimon was the first to show that existing benefit-cost evaluations of photovoltaic technology use inappropriate discount rates that ignore some of the technology's important attributes.
