"New York State has been very aggressive in striving toward energy independence. The state has set a goal to produce 25 percent of its energy from renewable sources, including wind, by the year 2013."

Windy Dividends

GE is doing a pretty good job at building wind generators,
For the wind industry is growing steadily to become coal and fuel replacers,
Investment along this energy line will result in a steady revenue,
For once the system is complete up and running on its feet you are on power avenue,
The wind is free every day of the year, just find a good location,
For as each wind farm produces its crops it will be an indication,
The investment is giving you steady payments you'll have lots of taxes to pay,
But as long as the wind keeps the blades on the spin dividends will keep rolling your way.

GE continues to be one of my favorite companies. I think GE will be growing and increasing its revenues for many years to come because of its dedication to wind energy development. I read that GE presently has a back-log for its wind turbines.

The basic law of economics tells us that if the demand is high, then the supply will increase. Secondly, as the supply inceases, production must increase. If production increases, then the cost per manufactured Megawatt should go down. Also, technological advances should lower the cost per Megawatt as additional engineering comes to bear on wind power extraction.

I am very excited about wind energy also, but the two comments above sound more like a commercial for GE stock than any real info. i think most will agree that all companies are finally glad to see a real interest in renewable energy for a change. For a closer look at where things are headed check out the DOE's web site and its change in direction.
R.E. Access keep up the good work!!

You're right, Adrian...

GE (and perhaps the other turbine manufacturers) simply can't make turbines fast enough to keep pace with demand. We've sold out all available units for 07, 08, and most of 09 already...
