I guess the author forgot to do his homework. The U.S. pass the 10,000MW level a long time ago. Presently we are at about 11,350MW.

I am glad to see competition for General Electric's wind turbine division. It is extremely difficult to deal with GE and perhaps the extra competition will make them realize that other companies can provide the wind turbine equipment. Sorry to see the business go to an offshore company but that is competition.
