Iam Balaji MS from Wichita State university and im proposing a solution to global warming by harnessing more Geo thermal Energy.
Also with my electric vehicle we can have a pollution free world.
Im looking forward for fostering this project to prevent GLOBAL WARMING and to publish my research findings on Geo thermal energy in this website. My email id is cbkk25 @yahoo.com.

Coming up for consideration by the voters in November, in California, is Proposition 87. One of the stated goals of the proposition is to reduce the use of petroleum in California by 25 percent from 2005 levels by 2017. It has been reported to be largely supported by Silicon Valley types, and to be opposed by Big Oil. Both sides have deep pockets, so it will be interesting to see who wins the media battle over this proposition.

California may be putting itself in a Catch-22 situation. The bill will definitely cause some industries, like cement, to relocate, which will do nothing for cutting down on greenhouse gasses (which may,or may not effect global warming). However the situation gets really confusing, since the governor has issued Executive Order S-06-06, which mandates that 20% of ethanol used in California must come from in-state by 2010 (40% by 2020). Moving this production into the state will cause tremendous amounts of carbon dioxide to be emitted (almost pound for pound by the process itself, plus that generated by the heat used in the process). This could cause California to be emitting more greenhouse gasses than this bill allows, while trying to solve the alternative energy problem.
