Sustainable Energy Sells $2.5 M Inverters to Spain

The ~$2.5 million supply contract calls for their delivery over 20 months, scheduled to begin in August. The thermal properties of the Sunergy inverter are suitable for Spain and southern European markets.

This contract "positions Sustainable Energy as an effective competitor in the rapidly growing Spanish and European markets," said Michael Carten, President and CEO. "It will also demonstrate to the industry the substantial gains in energy yield advantages, which can be achieved with a low-voltage approach to grid-connected PV systems."

Sunergy's patented design allows its inverter to operate at full power over extended periods of time at temperatures in excess of 50 Celsius. The Sunergy inverters maintain their high electrical conversion efficiencies at higher power outputs, which maximizes power production from the array.
