I just read about the ethanol tax on imports from Brazil causing some shortages of ethanol mixes.

What is the legal bases of this " tax " ? What is this difference as it applies to ethanol from that of an Import Duty ? What other fuels is this " Tax " applicable to ?

This is all balanoey. Only three states have mandated this switch. Don't blame it on ethanol. Put the blame where it belongs, on the oil companies.
