Several years ago I'd suggested to a bike locker company in California to attach their pie-shaped lockers to the back of solar-powered bus stops and use the free electricity to re-charge the batteries of electric bikes and scooters.
Ride the bike/scooter from home to the mas transit stop and the batteries will be full when you get back and your transport and helmet will remain secure in the locker.
