Austin, TX USA The Solar Universe is an extraordinarily deep and rich subject.
Most people think of solar energy, and they picture a bluish “Solar Panel” on the roof of a house.
Solar Energy is so much more than that.
Solar Technologies and related products are being developed at stunning speed and this is just the beginning. Join us for a quick romp through The Solar Universe. The presentation will cover the numerous photovoltaic technologies and product embodiments from the routine, to the emerging, to the truly bizarre.
Energy may be harvested from the sun in a great number of ways and each has a value in its own right, which naturally raises questions:
“What is solar energy?”
“What are the solar energy technologies?”
“Why are there so many technologies?”
“What is the best technology (product)?”
“Which technology is best for me and why?”
This talk will review all primary solar energy technologies and application areas, with discussion on advantages and disadvantages.
