International wind energy developer Windlab has adopted Second Wind's Triton Sonic Wind Profilers as part of its standard wind resource assessment methodology, Second Wind and Windlab announced today. With a fleet of 12 Tritons, Windlab has added remote sensing to its wind resource assessment studies worldwide.

"The Triton units help us to be more flexible at a project's early stage and enable us to do things more quickly. We don't have to wait for met tower permits to come through. We can take a risk because if it doesn't work out we can easily move the Triton to a new site." Nathan Steggel, Windlab co-founder
