In February political and business decision-makers in Russia will be able to attend a programme to enhance their knowledge about bioenergy. The courses will be conducted by the Renewables Academy (RENAC), based in Berlin, Germany, as part of the international project TREE (Transfer Renewable Energy & Efficiency). TREE is being sponsored by the German Federal Ministry of Economics as part of the Renewables Made in Germany initiative. The initiative forms part of the German Government's commitment to contribute to climate protection through the promotion of renewable energy technology internationally.

"Bioenergy is currently an important topic, and so we are convinced that the initiative will be of interest to the experts in the city administration, and to those responsible in financial institutions and industry associations. Additionally, this project will be a good platform for further strengthening and developing our work together, "said the Deputy Mayor of Veliky Novgorod, Alexander Rozbaum.
