RBI Solar team had a third annual Thanksgiving feast
and pot luck party on October 16th, 2012. Thanksgiving is a time for family and friends to come together and give thanks. It's the most celebrated time of the year. Thanksgiving is a time to share, to give, and to be grateful for all that we have.
About 300 years ago the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians started the tradition of thanksgiving. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies until in 1863, President Abraham Lincoln announced a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November. Team RBI Solar started the tradition of celebrating this day with a pot luck party and freshly cooked turkey about three years back.
Thanksgiving was special to RBI Solar this year as it was first time, when all of our team members were able to enjoy the feast. The centerpiece of Thanksgiving feast was a turkey, surrounded by home cooked, delicious vegetables, dressings, condiments and pies. Apart from delicious food there were lot of solar discussions, all of us are thankful to the ‘Sun’ for providing us a great source of clean energy.
