The U.S. Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy has announced the winners in the prestigious National Geothermal Student Competition.
1st: Idaho State University
2nd: Boise State University
3rd: Southern Methodist University
Competition manager Desmond Stubbs of DOE's Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) standing in front of the three finalist posters.
Led by team leader Michael Ginsbach, the Idaho State University project was on the Development of an integrated, testable conceptual model of blind geothermal resources in the eastern Snake River Plain as it applies to the Newdale geothermal prospect.
