There is nothing more important than celebrating the victories of an emerging industry. The wind, solar, biomass, geothermal and hydropower industries have been putting projects online this year with gusto. Even though project development may slow down for some of those industries in 2013, now is a good time to honor some of the outstanding accomplishments of the past year.
Against that backdrop, you should consider nominating a renewable energy project to win a project of the year award. This year the awards ceremony will take place with great fanfare at a dinner during the co-located Renewable Energy World North America, Power-GEN International, and Nuclear Power International events in Orlando, Florida, December 11-13, 2012.
If your project came online between August 1, 2011 and July 31st, 2012, it is eligible to win a Project of the Year Award. But in order for the editors to consider it, you must nominate it through our nomination form, which you can find at this link.
We expect to see fairly large projects in the nomination pile this time around and we look forward to celebrating their victories and cheering on their continued success. As always, project of the year award winners are written up in Renewable Energy World magazine and RenewableEnergyWorld.com and videos of the winning projects will be created and broadcast to our 200,000 readers.
As an industry that is just getting going, its important for us to stop once in a while and take a moment to see how far we have come. The Project of the Year Awards is our time to do that. Nominate your project now. (Hurry, nominations close at the end of August.)
