Government policies that works against clean energy development only encourages more dependency upon dirty energy and more pollution, disease and suffering. While this does make the dirty energy suppliers richer and wealthy, it afford a greater loss of productivity among society in the long term.

Dirty energy isn't sustainable, so no matter what savings you obtain in the short term, it's NOT possible to even maintain a future ahead on depleting natural resources.

Even Saudi Arabia is switching over to solar energy to become an clean energy exporter. Why shouldn't modern countries understand the huge advantage of using sustainable clean energy that frees them of dirty energy pollution and grants them energy independence to which would power their economy?

Letting society build upon a better more clean future of prosperity.

This is one example of how local governments predate their citizens by constantly extorting money in the form of licensing and fees. These solar inspections are little different than electric inspections for other equipment. Anything that becomes popular is seen as a way to "cash in" on a captive market.

If I recall correctly Riverside County is considering a 2% tax on a project near Blythe about to begin construction.
