Australian Solar Industry Installs More Small PV than Germany in 2010In 2010, according to data sourced from the REC Registry and analysed by SunWiz as parts of its Market Insights package, the Australian PV Industry installed more systems under 10kW than Germany.

Australian figures quoted are at end of December, with lag of 2 months representing ~22 MW additionally. Of course, this was the bulk of Australian installations were small, averaging ~2kW, reflective of the difference in solar support mechanisms between the two countries. Germany installed a record 7.4 GW, whereas Australia managed about 350 MW.
