JohnAckerly,

Is this issue really keeping you up at night?

I think the best way to address your issue would be to advocate to increase incentives for energy efficient homes and appliances.

As I understand it, investment in local solar energy reduces pollution which has a clear but "not-counted" benefit for lower income families and children who often suffer from a higher pollution burden than high income families.

Hey, Daniel-Simon,

A wood pellet stove *is* an appliance. It should be included in the list of things for which a rebate or credit is allowed.

*I* think the best way may be a combination of John's and your points.

Its well known that MONEY ATTRACTS MONEY - all policies will directly or indirectly benefit only the guy who has more money - the poor man will always have to PAY MORE and MORE for green power -
Its how the green power being packaged - in the name of saving the earth , technology, a new initiative , a global need etc etc etc
