Hi:

This country is not serious about solar energy or renewables. In solar's case, if you really want to proliferate it, you mandate it for all new housing. Exceptions must be had via a zoning variance. That's right, you must get a variance NOT to have it. That would at least freeze the fixes to the rear rather than continuing to build houses without it or the pieces in place to have it easily. We zone distances from roads, sewage, fences, building codes in every form imaginable, etc.. and a zillion other things that we deem important. ENERGY, well no..... When that happens we as a country can finally say we are serious about our long term future.

Ah yes, the same people that are against government "picking winners" when it comes to wind and solar are leading the charge for government guarantees for nukes!

So much for consistency. In ten years time, when wind and solar dominate the new energy landscape will they be back for additional subsidies?
