Wouldn't it be nice if the USA really had a constitutionally-based representative democracy?

Unfortunately America's politics and economy is centrally planned by the Federal Reserve Corporation, other private central banks, and their pretentious "two-party" warmongering racket.

That's why we need legitimate elections and appropriate monetary reform:

I'm not going to argue politic with you, or anyone. However, I do find it extremely amusing that the reason China is able to set and make such amazing goals in renewable energy is specifically because they are *not* "a constitutionally-based representative democracy". There are no elections in China and the citizens of that country have absolutely no control over their government.

The government can therefore make decisions that cause suffering to the populace with no fear of being elected out of office. Google up some information about the Three Gorges Dam for a telling example specific to renewables. 'Fixing' the democratic process in the US will only aid in making the country more 'Green' if the general population is willing to endure personal hardship and vote accordingly. Mostly what I see is people that shout we need to move to renewable energy, but 'they' need to pay for it (the specific 'they' changing depending on who is doing the talking).

China vs America. or would you rather America vs China. Either way, I think we all need to learn from one another. God has created all men unique. Even the fool is considered wise when he maintains his silence. The fool's presence can turn him to a valuable witness in court! Democratic America and Autocratic China. I am Nigerian, nay African, trying to balance traditional, democratic and authoritarian forms of government. The truth remains that government plays enormous role in modern life that what we probably need is more private-sector led initiatives and less government.
Let government handle defence, external relations and law (legislation and enforcement); the rest I think private enterprise will best cope with.

Technically, we are a constitutionally based, democratic, republic. The founding fathers never intended for the U.S. to be a true democracy. True democracy in the founders eyes was akin to mob rule. It's pretty much worked out that way.
"...and the Republic for which it stands..."
