Good stuff.
I have heard rumor of an SREC Auction happening in Pennsylvania in June, but have not been able to verify this.

Washington state has directed most incentives towards manufacturers, REC Silicon, Xantrex, Outback, Silicon Solutions; among others have established facilities. Much of Washington state is a desert with an abundant solar resource, wind and hydropower. Grid-connected PV remains a tough sell against 6 cent/kWh, low carbon footprint, hydropower. We have 300 square miles of open brownfield suitable for PV at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. Formerly a site of several plutonium production reactors, it is well served by transmission and distribution systems, little used but already connected to the western inter-tie. The DOE owned property now has a controlled area of 540 square mines to be reduced to < 20 square miles of high security area. How many MW per square mile? 200? It is not Arizona but the sun shines 300 days a year.
Silicon manufactured in Washington has the cleanest and greenest energy content of any in the world. Someday it will be used here instead of being shipped to Europe.

We'll my state is totally incapable of utilizing the full potential of solar energy. Now if the article is only relating to those overpriced outdated solar panels, then its quite obvious that the solar technology in general has a long ways to go.

As for that neighborhood net metering jazz, what's the big deal? I don't trust the word "Green" and I never will. That's right! There's too many of environmental controls associated with the word GREEN. Especially when discussing ridiculous concepts like that community act Massachusetts garbage > (pure socialism) Jack. Have no problem with those renewable energy facilities receiving net metering credits from a single owner,as long as the technology remains above our so-called "state-of-the-art" jazz. I've heard about those similar programs in Maine and Vermont and a bunch of other nonsecular places and hold nothing but contempt for the GREEN movement who knows next to nothing when it comes to the pure conversion of solar energy.

I don't understand why were still playing around with outdated technologies like those outrageously expensive highly inefficient solar panels. Or more ludicrous attempts tapping his suns awesome energy, like painting some copper pipe black, and foolishly mounting it on the roof of a house, how "yesterday" that neanderthal technology is.

NO GREEN NO GREEN NO GREEN NO GREEN NO GREEN NO GREEN NO GREEN

TIME TOO GO WITH "SOLAR THERMAL CAPTURING TECHNOLOGIES FOR THAT UNLIMITED POWER POTENTIAL WE ALL NEED RIGHT NOW"

And while we're at it? let's power up the whole dang planet on it, and symbolically run every car and truck too at the same time. confused? don't be, I'll explain someday soon.
