Kyocera Supplies Solar Modules for World's Largest Stadium-Integrated Photovoltaic System

With this expansion, the stadium of the Swiss first league soccer club BSC Young Boys Bern has the world’s largest stadium-integrated photovoltaic system on its roof. The complete installation, supplying 1,346.774 kWp, was planned by system supplier TRITEC and assembled on the stadium over a total construction period of 10 months. The annual energy yield of 1,134,045 kWh covers the electricity consumption of more than 350 local four-person households.  The STADE DE SUISSE Wankdorf Bern has been honored for its integration of the photovoltaic system, receiving both the Swiss and European Solar Awards, and is ideally equipped as a venue for the European soccer championships (UEFA EURO 2008™) in Switzerland and Austria.
