Connecticut Clean Energy Fund Boosts Funding for Its On-site Renewable Distributed Generation Program

Additional Program Enhancements Made
Rocky Hill, CT

The Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) today announced increased funding for and modifications to its On-site Renewable DG Program. This program offers financial support to encourage the installation of behind-the-meter clean energy distributed generation technology at commercial, industrial and institutional facilities in Connecticut.

As a result of strong demand for funding through the On-site Renewable DG Program, $11.75 million in new funding was added to the program, raising the total program funding from $21 million to $32.75 million.

Other program enhancements include:
* Increase in the maximum subsidy per project from $2 million to $4 million;
* Availability of grants of up to $50,000 per installation to support site-specific technical and financial feasibility studies; and
* Increase in the premium available to projects located in Southwest Connecticut from 1?/kWh to 2?/kWh for solar PV projects and 1.5?/kWh for projects involving other clean energy technologies.
