2nd Annual AEE Solar Conference next February in Arizona

Solar industry leaders and top suppliers to participate in showcase solar event

By Ronald Fel Jones, The Strategic Word

Redway, CA

AEE Solar, one of the renewable energy industry's oldest, largest and fastest-growing wholesale distributors, will hold its 2nd Annual AEE Solar Dealer Conference in Mesa, Arizona, February 18-21, 2009. Last year's inaugural conference drew more than 200 dealers to Mesa's beautiful Hilton Phoenix East – the site of this year's conference as well – for a hugely successful four days of training sessions, supplier exhibits, social gatherings and fun in the sun.

"We're thrilled to be coming back to the Mesa Hilton to hold our annual conference," says AEE Solar CEO David Katz. "Last year's event was a huge success, and in today's economic climate, we believe our dealers will find it even more valuable to attend this year and gain new tools and resources for continued success. Registrations are already well ahead of last year's pace, so it looks like our dealers agree!"

This year’s conference will feature special presentations by industry leaders Bill Brooks, Andy Black and David Katz, plus tradeshow-style product exhibits by top equipment manufacturers and scores of workshops and classes by suppliers and AEE Solar staff.

Bill Brooks, noted author, trainer and a leading contributor to the National Electric Code (NEC), will give a four-hour workshop on the changes to the 2009 NEC and how to install a code-compliant PV system.

David Katz, founder and CEO of AEE Solar and solar industry pioneer, will lead a two-hour discussion on the latest technologies making an impact on the world of PV and renewable electrical power generation.

Andy Black, a widely recognized expert and innovator in demonstrating payback for solar systems, will give a two-hour presentation featuring his OnGrid Solar Financial Analysis Tool.

Top suppliers including Evergreen, REC, SolarWorld, UniRac, Xantrex, SMA, OutBack, Fronius, Enphase, Southwest Windpower, PV Powered and many others will have expo-style exhibits and hold numerous trainings - filling five classrooms for three full days.
The exhibit hall and dealer classes will provide solar professionals with excellent opportunities for gathering valuable information and training. Last year's participants reported that networking during social events, meals and free time gave them insight and new inspiration as well.

Activities planned for the three-day conference include a golf tournament at one of the area’s favorite courses and a hiking excursion to one of Arizona’s top outdoor destinations.

The $295 registration fee covers admission to the expo hall, all workshop classes, guest reception, opening breakfast, 3 lunches, and 2 dinners. Attending dealers will qualify for special buy programs and incentives, plus raffles and prizes.
Space is limited and last year’s attendance exceeded expectations so early registration is highly recommended. The first 100 attendees to book rooms get a special rate of $149 per night.

Plans include two five-day training seminars led by Solar Energy International, recognized as the top trainers in the solar industry today. The SEI hands-on "Grid Tie PV" (beginner) training is the week immediately preceding the conference. The "Advanced PV" training will be held the week immediately after the conference. These specially arranged 5-day trainings are for AEE dealers only. A limited number of seats are available for the training seminars.

The 2nd Annual AEE Solar Dealer Conference and SEI training seminars are open only to authorized AEE Solar dealers. To learn more about becoming an AEE Solar dealer, visit the company’s website at www.aeesolar.com, or call 800-777-6609.
