On the whole, this complicated farm bill has had a bumpy ride. In addition to a tight budget year, a short time period for actual debate on the bill, procedural gridlock and an eventual difficult conference, President George W. Bush has threatened to veto the bill.

This action by the Senate and House on the farm bill is just filled with political garbage. If we ran our homes and Businesses like the government runs the Legeslature we would never eat ,sell items of importance and go find a cave to live in ,while the people we voted into office to run our Government, do nothing but grab all the valubles of this nation for themselve and spend what they do not have on themselve. They are all treasonest ,dishonest and should be hung on the lamp post. They have allowed 12 Million plus people to invade our country and gave away our tax dollars and defended them in place of doing what the law prescribes. What we should do is throw the bumbs out and find an honest man! GOOD LUCK!!!

Minority Leader Mitch McConnell seems bound and determined to sink his own party by leading the obstructionist charge. Gridlock is in the Senate where Republicans with the help of the veto power of a lame duck president are able to bottle up bills. The Democrats under Tom Harkin crafted what they thought was a bipartisan bill only to have McConnell hold it up. It is time McConnell got the message from all of us that he needs to think of the interests of the entire country and give up his partisan power games.

It has been signed into law. It is not worth the paper it's printed on! Long before it goes into effect in 2020 they will rewrite it.
