Naturener Expands Wind Energy Portfolio to 1,000 MW

Calgary, Canada [RenewableEnergyAccess.com]

Naturener Energy Canada Inc. announced that it has purchased 100% of the shares of Alberta-based West WindEau Inc., a wind energy development company. With the addition of West WindEau's "Wild Rose" projects in Southeast Alberta, Naturener now has a portfolio of over 1000 megawatts (MW) of wind energy projects under development in Canada.

"The development of 1000 MW of new wind generation will make a significant contribution to the renewable energy supply in Canada."

-- Rafael Sanchez-Castillo Lodares, Naturener Group CEO

"Wind power is the fastest growing energy technology in the world and a valuable, zero-emission renewable resource. The development of 1000 MW of new wind generation will make a significant contribution to the renewable energy supply in Canada," commented Rafael Sánchez-Castillo Lodares, Naturener Group Chief Executive Officer.

David Boileau, the controlling shareholder of West WindEau, said, "Naturener is a proven, capable and experienced renewable energy company. The Wild Rose projects near Medicine Hat will soon be moving from the development stage to the construction phase and Naturener's business development strategy and commitment to the projects were key factors in the transaction."
