Massachusetts Farmers to Receive Energy Efficiency, Renewables Incentives

I failed to catch why the farmers deserved the subsidies as opposed to all the citizens or businesses?

<p>Paul, while I share your concern that the agricultural industry already receives too many handouts, I can think of a few good reasons to focus on agriculture: </p><p>-It's an energy-intensive industry.</p><p>-Many agricultural efficiency measures are not covered under other efficiency programs. </p><p>-The open space and on-site loads at farms often make for good wind and biomass sites. </p>
