America's 'Greenest' Hotel Goes Solar

American Canyon, California [RenewableEnergyAccess.com]
3 Phases Energy Services, LLC recently commissioned a 36 kilowatt solar project at the Gaia Napa Valley Hotel and Spa — the country’s first and only LEED Gold-Certified hotel. The system is projected to offset approximately 12% of the hotel’s annual energy consumption and has contributed two points towards the hotel’s LEED Gold rating. The project, developed by southern-California based 3 Phases, features Uni-solar amorphous silicon laminates mounted on standing seam metal roof pans. The system was installed by Energy Recommerce, Inc. (ERI) and features ERI’s string-level performance monitoring system.
