To Scotland

Scotland is to test the ways of ocean force extraction,
This many island home will be the center of attraction,
A leap into the future needs a step taken today,
The means to see what is to be and many minds to sway,
Scotland, home of myth and legendary Loch Ness beast,
Will soon be raising up the means of energy increase,
By wringing power from the waves, and ocean currents swelling,
Where Neptune and his mermaids fair in blue deep waters dwelling,
The ancient land of kilt and bagpipe seeks to separate,
The power from the seas, this mighty venture undertake.

It is wonderful that the efficiency of devices for the extraction of energy concentrated in the oceans may now be tested in so many ways. These studies should benefit all peoples throughout the world in the next few decades and I believe that the manufacturing of materials/devices needed for the extraction of ocean energy may become an important industy in the near future, hopefully within the next 20 years.

Please help! We have the greatest resource for the deployment of ocean wave energy lying off the coast of Mayo in Ireland yet all we have is Shell, Statoil and Marathon defying locals in building yet another fossil fuel guzzling plant on 400 acres of formerly government owned forestry land there. We need world support now to stop them. Protests are held every morning outside the proposed refinery. We fight the government, those making decisions for us, Shell. We will continue to fight but we need massive global support to oust the fossil fuel giants so that we will be able and ready to use our ocean wave energy resource identified in the area of the gas/oil fields as the greatest resource in europe, almost the world!!
