United Solar Ovonic Supplies Uni-Solar PV Laminates

Auburn Hills, Michigan [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] United Solar Ovonic, a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. (ECD Ovonics) has supplied 700 kilowatts (kW) of photovoltaic (PV) laminates to TurtleEnergy LLC for installation by American Energy Technologies, Inc. on a 350,000-sq.-ft. building leased by East Coast Warehouse & Distribution from the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. American Energy Technologies installed more than 5,140 Uni-Solar "peel and stick" PV laminates on the galvalume standing seam metal roof for the 700 kW system, chosen largely for their nonreflective surface. The system will generate more than 800,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) AC of electricity annually.
