"Tidal power is predictable, sustainable, silent and invisible -- these advantages need to remain the focus, rather than the eight hours a day when tidal turbines produce little or no power. Tidal power complements other energy sources and will, eventually, be of importance to maritime countries."

Great news Anthoney
I would like to see in the not to distant future a hydrogen highway heading north to the Bay of Islands.

I think your clean energy project would be ideal for hydrogen production

What do you think?

Sudden and potentially dramatic pressure chnages will occur as the turbines rotates through the water. Some fishes, especially younger and juvenile ones may experience increased mortaility as a result. Has anyone heard of any way to to address this conflict?

The State of Hawaii should qualify for Title/Wave Energy plant plus Geothermal from its resources.
Why thid is not done on a grand scale and make the state energy independent instead of having one of the highest rates in the cost of energy.
There are numerous other States that could implement the same energy generation.

I believe that New Zealand should set a target which will eliminate all fossil fuel fired power stations and plants, and invest heavily in renewable energy of every description which will leave our land and rivers clean of all contaminates. Geographicly New Zealand offers abundant opportunities for clean electricity production.
