View Plafkin Farms on Webshots.com. Michigan could also provide energy for 100,000 plus homes, businesses, schools, industries and farms by installing wind turbines along the shores of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. The lake shore is a natural source of wind power, and as you go north towards the Straights of Mackinaw, the velocity should increase. I am not sure why it is not the top priority in the State of Michigan to concentrate on this type of stallation. It would seem that instead of a lot of rhetoric which leads us nowhere as in the last election, the emphasis would have been on alternative energy and how it could benefit the State and the Nation. It is my understanding that one candidate spent $13,000,000 on his campaign, and the other one spent probably a comparable amount. What a shame that all of that money was not directed into alternative energy policies and actions that would have actually improved the living conditions for Michigan residence.

i was reading the other day about what is happening in michigan on the alternative energy front and i feel hopefull. solar production equiptment being produced, biofuel production comeing online (9 plants)and educational incentives at michigan state. it will take a long time to change our dependence on the auto industery. however, the people i talk to seem to think that since solar won't provide 100% of our needs it isn't worth it. i try to convince them differently but with little luck.20% is better than nothing.bush 2004 not my fault.
