Canadian Geothermal Financing Helps Homeowners

Elmira, Ontario [RenewableEnergyAccess.com]

Homeowners in Canada can now access a competitive financing option for geothermal installations due to a partnership between NextEnergy and Homeworks to meet increased demand. Through Homeworks, NextEnergy will offer this geothermal system financing opportunity across Canada through the lowest consumer lending rate(s) available.

Homeworks Financing is an ethical financing program designed specifically for homeowners investing in their homes. Through this specialization, Homeworks is able to offer some of the most flexible terms and lowest consumer financing interest rates in Canada.

"New financing solutions are necessary to allow the broadest possible access to consumers across the country," said Randal Palach, president of NextEnergy Inc.

"Together with Homeworks, we now offer another way to make the installation of geothermal more affordable. New customers can begin saving right away on their energy bills with affordable financing and a clean, renewable geothermal solution," said Palach.

A study recently prepared for the Western Governors Association
Projects geothermal energy to conservatively have the near-term potential of producing 13,000 megawatts of capacity (i.e., the equivalent of about
15 nuclear power plants or 30 coal-fired plants). Analyses done by the
Geothermal Energy Association suggest that the potential may actually
be two or more times greater.
