Underwater Turbines Can Harness Equivalent Energy of a Nuke Plant

[WebIndia123.com] Scientists have said that underwater generators based on wind energy could be used for harnessing enough energy to supply residents of the UK with power equivalent to a nuclear power station. Researchers have said that the TidalStream system built to harness the power of deep, fast-flowing tidal waters would produce somewhere between 20 to 40 percent of Britain's energy requirements, and provide the power capacity of a 1200-megawatt nuclear plant, enough energy for over a million households.

I have written to a number of places but get no response. A lot of people like wind power but don't like them near their back yards. I don't know if you heard about the underwater turbines being tested near NYC in the East River. If there was an underwater turbine in every major river in the US, we be saving millions in energy cost. Our country could be making and selling these turbines all over the wold.I am sending the web site for you to check it out. You wouln't have to worry about base load power. These turbines could be built along every major city and give free power to all govt buildings and schools along the river with turbines.Shorter lines means less resistance. This could be the best idea since the steam engine. Think of the huge possibilities!!! My wife and I work for Center for Disability so we are not important people. Just think it's a great idea. The project only got a little to start the project, they should have gotten a lot more. http://verdantpower.com/what-initiative http://www.verdantpower.com/
