The system also has promising applications for agriculture in areas where water is brackish or unsuitable for crop development; it purifies water while reserving minerals for future use.

I like the artical and think it is about time that someone put solar power together with water purification as most places that need the water have sun but not much else. Also like the idea of self-sufficient home. Thanks

This is an exciting development towards enabling houses to be independent of external services. We already have waterless internal composting toilets and increasing efficiency of photo voltaic / wind powered electricity.

I look forward to seeing the test results. So far I had been working towards small solar powered RO units.
