Astris to Exhibit Fuel Cell Vehicle at Canada Show

Mississauga, Ontario [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Astris Energi, an alkaline fuel cell technology company, will exhibit and demonstrate its fuel cell vehicle at the Canadian National Exhibition, August 18-23, at a pavilion to focus exclusively on fuel cell and hydrogen related technologies. The Freedom Golf Car is Astris' first alkaline fuel cell powered golf car fuelled by hydrogen, which is contained in a 33-litre, refillable, carbon fibre tank that can last up to three days under typical usage. Powered by Astris' 1.0 kW power generator, the vehicle can go 31 kph with acceleration and hill climbing capability comparable to a conventional battery-powered model. The Canadian National Exhibition has accrued an average attendance of 1.4 million visitors annually over the past 127 years.
