Japan slips off solar energy pace

I think that Germany and Japan are doing fine but what concerns me most is what is happing in our country, the US.

Our efforts in this direction are less than these two smaller countries when we should be the leader in applying this technology. Shame on us for limping along as we are doing. We certainly could do much more if only our government would be more supportive and if the prices of the solar cells came down a little. I remember promises of inexpensive wattage for solar cells promised some 20 years ago. But then again, the dollar is not worth as much as before.

I was reading Lincoln's Gettysburg address this morning "Four score and seven years ago..." and I got to thinking that we may have to wait this long before renewables, especially PV technology, catch on in our country.
