[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] O2Diesel Corporation will begin the first military fleet use of O2Diesel, its cleaner burning, ethanol-diesel fuel blend, at two U.S. Air Force installations in Nevada. Under the guidance of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), which is exploring cleaner-burning diesel fuels, Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas and the Nevada Air National Guard in Reno will put O2Diesel through rigorous testing in up to 50 pieces of non-tactical diesel-powered equipment, including ground support and other medium duty vehicles. O2 Diesel is a blend of 7.7 percent ethanol with the remainder regular diesel and the company's proprietary stabilizing additives. The company said that Senator Harry Reid (NV) pushed for DoD funding for this and other DoD projects involving this fuel technology.
