NYC needs to put solar thermal on all of the rooftops of all of the buildings in NYC.

Solar thermal is incredibly cheap and reduces the need for fossil energy sources, such as natural gas to heat water.

Solar thermal can make a huge reduction in natural gas usage and greenhouse gas emissions.

With the reduction in natural gas usage, the utilities would have to lower their prices for natural gas.

What would the utilities do with all of their extra gas?

Now NYC needs to install a wind generator onto of every highrise building in the city and them they could cut the ties to the grid! Remember a couple years ago when NYC went BLACK at 4:30 pm and everyone went "psycho", "another attack!!" NO just a FUBAR - "Fu34ed Up Beyond All Repair" of the energy distribution in OHIO! It's time to look to the future and take some advice from Europe. They have a mandate to have 20% of their energy to be from renewables by 2010.

But with Bush taking advice from Exxon-Moblie of the global warming problem we will be stuck in the 19th century. Here's a link to the PROOF-sorry GOP sheep...

Write letters to your congressmen and let them know that you WILL NOT VOTE FOR THEM if they follow blindly.

Wrong. The city doesn't need to put solar panels on the top of every building. The citizens in a 'free market' system should. The citizens should install solar panels on their building and sell the energy back to the energy companies for a profit. When it becomes profitable for the market the market will do it. Dont demand the taxpayers pay for it. Do it yourself and make money doing it.
