Dual Purpose Inverter Offering for Solar, Fuel Cell Systems

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Sustainable Energy Technologies of Calgary has delivered the first of its next generation inverter platforms for stationary fuel cell applications. The new inverter platform has a peak 'stack to grid' electrical conversion efficiency of over 94 percent, and offers an active bi-directional control over the fuel cell current, according to the company. Director of Technology Development Brent Harris stated that the inverter is applicable to both solar and fuel cell applications, and is the company's first step toward being able to offer a universal inverter to the energy industry.
