Is this process not just making your water company use more energy because they have to increase the pressure in order to push water through the turbines in the household plumbing? I dont think this solves much of anything in regards to alternative energy.

There is a lot of downward modulation of pressure in water utilities facilities. Your home could never receive the full force from the utility. It is modulated down, then down and then down again until you pull the tap. The process is mechanical with no recoupment of energy. It is brilliant to harness these modulations to create energy.

This method will deteriorate the quality of the water much further causing more cases of cancer in Rhode island.

You can improve the quality of the water to High Mountain Spring standards, and raise the electricity yields beyond this method
The water's crystalline structure rips itself apart as it flows against the walls of the pipe. This aggravates the oxygen which further rusts the pipe, making a wonderful home for disease causing bacteria. By installing your turbines this will further destroy the water quality. Also don't be surprised when your turbine blades get destroyed due to severe cavitation.
