Vertical Axis Wind Turbine Targets Building Market

[Product News] McKenzie Bay International introduced the commercial production design of its WindStor Wind Turbine, a vertical axis wind turbine the company is specifically targeting to the green building or building-integrated renewable energy markets. A significant departure from traditional, propeller-airplane-like wind turbines, this design features three curving blades coming together at the top of the mast. The design, the company says, holds advantages over other wind turbine technologies for urban applications, including innovative safety redundancies and noise reduction engineering.
